A Picture of Pat

I have been at Bowlers for over 30 years. I enjoy teaching all levels of riders and working with different horses, so I have my dream job! Marty, Max and Lincon are the horses I have at the moment. Marty is doing well competing in dressage and enjoys jumping, and Max who likes to go hacking and showing himself off when we go competing.I also have a Golden Retriever called Jess, who was given to me about 7 years ago.

A Picture of Rachel

I have worked at Bowlers for 14 years and I am now working towards my BHS Stage 4 - Care qualification. I learnt to ride at Bowlers when I was a little girl, and Pat and Mary used to teach me. I have a horse on loan at the yard called Magic and I like to do dressage on him. When I am not working and riding I like running and I have even ran a few marathons. I really enjoy working at Bowlers and like all the teaching I do. I love all the horses and the other animals especially the pig and the goat.

I've worked at the stables for about eight years, before that I worked for the mounted police in Hutton. I went to Myerscough College in 2001 where I trained to be a Riding Instructor and gained a degree in Equine Science and Management.

I love working with all the animals and my favourite horses are Hugo,Ivor and Red. I am currently studying towards my BHS Stage 1 in my spare time.

I have worked at Bowlers for almost five years, starting on a sunday when I was a teenager. I am currently studying a Level 3 Diploma in Horse Management at Myerscough College. I have already achieved a NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to the BHS Stage 2), and I am also working towards the BHS Stage 3 and PTT qualifications.

A Picture of Karen

I started riding when I was eight at an Army riding school as my father was in the Army. I have been at Bowlers since I was 15 (so quite a few years!) only taking a few years out to work with a vet and huntsman on Anglesey and another riding school in Aughton. I started at Bowlers as a working pupil gaining my horse masters (the old style BHS stage exams!) and I am now a company director alongside Pat and Mary, who is a sleeping partner. I used to compete when I was younger on Bowler's school horses, only buying my first pony when my daughters, Gemma & Holly were born. Since then we have owned a few ponies which we compete on a regular basis. The ones we own at the moment being Lily, Yogi, Shimmie and Oakley.

A Picture of Andrea

I have been at Bowlers for over 15 years, and have seen many horses, riders and staff come and go. I have a degree in Zoology and love anything to do with animals which is probably why my favourite animals on the yard are Michael and Gordon. I own Poppy, the mini Labradoodle and have two cats at home called Bella and Little Kitty.

A Picture of Rita

I have been at Bowlers for the past nine years and I work part time in the mornings. I love working with the horses and ponies but I especially love the pig, goat and chickens. My favourite things about the yard though is doing all the messy jobs.

I love working here and my favourite pony is Storm. I own my own 14.1hh Welsh bay mare called Fleur who loves jumping.
