Every School half-term holiday we run a selection of activities, mainly for kids, but adults are allowed to join in too. These are a few of the things that might be on offer...

Own A Pony Day

Your day begins at 10am where you will be kitted up and told who you are riding. After being shown round the yard and introduced to your pony, you will help to tack up and get ready for your lesson.

The lesson starts around 10:45am where you will ride for an hour and practice for the afternoon show. A quick bathroom break and it's onto the Stable Management where you may get to make the horses feed, fill hay nets, or muck out a stable.

Lunch hour at 1pm (bring a packed lunch), then it's off to groom your pony, make it pretty and prepare it for the show. 3pm - Show off your Equestrian skills and wow the judges with your clean pony ready for the award ceremony. 4pm - Home time!

Half Day Course

One hour of riding and one hour of stable management, which can include a variety of activities such as grooming a pony, making horses feeds, filling hay nets or mucking out!

Fun and Games

Approximately an hour and a half of fun and games on horseback (duration will depend on numbers attending). Riders take part in a series of races, riding different ponies, gaining points in order to win a rosette. The session finishes with a game of Musical Blocks!!

Each activity varies and the above descriptions are only an example of what you might expect, content can change on the day. If there is something you really want to do, then just ask your instructor!
